LVC (Lifted Voices Choir) is a gospel choir that occupies a very special place on the British choral landscape. Directed by Alexander Douglas (who has a specific and unique vision for contemporary gospel music), LVC draws upon classical choral music for concepts of purity and precision, and jazz for concepts of creativity and musicianship. Working in four (and sometimes more) parts and based in London (but with a membership from wider afield as well), LVC is a genuine 'hybrid' ensemble - a musical distillation of chamber choral aesthetic values and the sheer intensity and emotional/spiritual depth of contemporary gospel choral music at its best.

Alexander has consistently been described by musicians and singers of many backgrounds and cultures as an ‘inspirational’ and ‘demanding’ music directors and workshop leader - with a formidable reputation for both outstanding technical awareness and outstanding musical creativity ADM Productions also has access to other renowned gospel music educators and so we can deliver uplifting, technically-assured and musically sound workshops/projects for all in friendly and safe atmosphere. Alexander's gospel arrangements have been performed on both radio and television as well as a wide range of 'live' settings. In addition to being an especially creative composer/arranger for gospel choirs, he can score arrangements for brass and strings and his skillset as a jazz bandleader means that his instrumental concept for gospel music is very strong indeed. With a profound commitment to versatility in sharing and developing this music, on one hand Alexander is currently developing a gospel concept for big band whilst (on the other hand) also exploring the world of educational choral commissions...
